About Meaghan

Meaghan Sliva is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She received her Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University and began working in private practice shortly after graduating.  Meaghan also has extensive experience working in educational settings such as the Redondo Beach Unified School District as a School Counselor.

Meaghan enjoys working with teens, adults, and families who struggle with:

Meaghan has a client-centered approach and incorporates techniques from various forms of therapy including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational-emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) based on client needs.  Meaghan is passionate about creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to feel supported and heard so they can begin to make positive, meaningful changes in their lives to grow and move forward.  She loves to help clients identify their strengths and build confidence in their capabilities.  Meaghan would describe her personality as warm and gentle, but also challenges clients when they feel stuck or engage in negative thinking patterns.    

 

Meaghan offers individual therapy for teens, young adults, and families so they can overcome struggles that are negatively impacting their relationships and developmental growth.

Meaghan also runs a therapy group for middle-school girls on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm-6:00 pm and Wednesdays from 2:30 pm-4:00 pm.

Fees:

Individual/Family Therapy $210

Group Therapy $75

Cancellation Policy:
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the treatment as booked.

 

Insurance:

Meaghan is not on any Insurance panels and many insurance companies do not cover services provided by someone who is not yet licensed. You will be given a Good Faith Estimate at the start of work together so that you would know an estimate for costs involved. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

  • Does my plan cover services for a provider who is unlicensed and under supervision?

  • If so, how do I submit a Superbill?
